Who We Are

Miss Katie's Dance Studio was established in 2008 by Katrina Staynoff. Our mission is to teach, encourage, and nurture our students not only in their dance classes but also in their day to day lives. By providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in the studio, we are also instilling in them life long lessons. Each student has the opportunity to learn and grow no matter what their age or skill level is. We feel that you are never too old to dance, so whether someone starts dancing when they are 3 years old or when they are 63  they will not only learn how to dance, but will also learn what it means to be a dancer. In dance you not only learn a skill you also gain poise, grace, confidence and so much more. So whether you dance for the love of it, for fun, exercise, friends, or whatever moves you, look no further than Miss Katie's!

About the Instructors

Katie Staynoff, Owner & Instructor
Picture
I started dance at the age of 3 in Tampa Florida. I continued dancing when we moved to Pennsylvania with White Swan, Lake Erie Ballet, North Coast Ballet under the direction of Robert Steele, and Pattie Magdik. I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a major in Graphic Design and minors in both Art History and Spanish. After graduation I became the Director of Dance at the Conneaut Community Art Center in Conneaut Ohio. After teaching there for 4 years I was blessed with the wonderful opportunity to own my own studio. I am also a member of the NAPW, the National Association of Professional Women.

Dance has always been and will always be my true passion in life. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and to share that love with so many wonderful people. I love being able to watch all of my students grow each year, not only as dancers but as young ladies and gentlemen.
Diana Blood, Tap & Lyrical Instructor

Diana has been dancing since she was three years old, starting at Kristine's School of Dance in Saegertown, PA. During high school, Diana was a student assistant working alongside her dance teachers to help teach the next generation of dancers. It was during this time that she discovered she wanted to work with children. In May, 2004, she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood. Diana has danced in Allegheny College's Orchesis dance program and in numerous local parades and pageants. Her favorite dance memory is when she danced in a Sesame Street production at Conneaut Lake Park, where she got to meet Sesame Street's Bob McGrath!Becoming a dance teacher is truly a dream come true! And being able to dance alongside one of her dearest friends, Miss Katie, has been an amazing opportunity!
